L&#8217;entrevista acaba amb la sent\u00e8ncia seg\u00fcent:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\nMentre els fil\u00f2legs de l\u2019<span class=\"versaleta\">iec<\/span> es barallen amb la hist\u00f2ria, els ling\u00fcistes dels mitjans es barallen amb la realitat: han de comunicar i han de sonar cre\u00efbles. L\u2019est\u00e0ndard \u00e9s avui, m\u00e9s que mai, registres informals, col\u00b7loquialitat. La col\u00b7loquialitat, per ser cre\u00efble, necessita un referent real, i l\u2019\u00fanic referent real que s\u2019acaba percebent com a no dialectal \u00e9s el dialecte amb m\u00e9s pes social, econ\u00f2mic i demogr\u00e0fic.\n<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Esperem que els ling\u00fcistes (i els t\u00e8cnics ling\u00fc\u00edstics, en general), m\u00e9s que barallar-se amb la realitat, aprenguen a participar-hi.
